The journey from Antalya Airport (AYT) to Gundogdu covers 65 km and takes roughly 60 minutes by private vehicle. Located at the western end of the Side coastline, Gundogdu is one of the quickest beach resorts to reach from the airport.

What the drive is like
Leaving the airport, you join the main D400 dual carriageway heading east toward Alanya. The road passes the agricultural township of Aksu and skirts past the golf resorts of Belek before turning off towards the coast at Gundogdu. The highway is wide, smooth, and easy to navigate.
Journey times can vary slightly depending on the time of day:
- Late night and early morning (22:00 to 07:00): Roads are clear, and the drive usually takes around 50 to 55 minutes.
- Daytime traffic (07:00 to 19:00): Standard traffic around Aksu and Serik brings the total time to about 60 minutes.
- Peak summer weekends: Heavy traffic during mid-day transfers in July and August can extend the trip to around 70 minutes.

What to expect in Gundogdu

Behind the seafront hotels, you will find a quiet town area with local shopping bazaars, pharmacies, and small cafes. The historic ancient town and harbour of Side are just 15 km further east, easily reached by local taxi or minibus.

- Child seats: If you are travelling with toddlers or young children, request child seats or booster cushions when booking. We supply these free of charge.
- Arrival hall meeting: Once you collect your bags and clear customs, step through the main exits into the arrival area. Your driver will be waiting in the designated greeting zone.
